An Ohio mother’s TikTok video went viral after she claimed to have found marijuana in her daughter’s Burger King order. The incident occurred on January 12, 2025, at a Burger King drive-thru in Hamilton, Ohio.
The TikTok user, known as @JannaBama or Janna Michelle, ordered chicken fries for her child at the Burger King on Main Street in Hamilton. Upon checking the bag, she discovered several marijuana buds mixed in with the chicken fries. Janna documented the unexpected addition in a TikTok video, which quickly gained traction online.
The video garnered significant attention on social media, amassing over 1.5 million views and more than 100,000 likes.
Many viewers expressed mixed reactions, with some finding humor in the situation while others were concerned. Some commenters jokingly inquired about how to receive a similar “side order.”
Burger King took swift action in response to the incident. The employee responsible for the marijuana in the order was promptly terminated and a spokesperson for Burger King stated that they were “very disappointed to learn of the incident” and do not take such matters lightly. The company also emphasized its commitment to guest safety.
The Hamilton Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident. Initially, no formal complaint had been filed by the customer. However, authorities are now actively investigating the matter, and the police plan to follow up with the terminated employee to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
